We've gathered 1King's sports betting rules on this page, covering four disciplines: football, basketball, tennis and esports. First you'll find shared terms and general settlement rules, then market rules per discipline. Read this page before building a bet slip — knowing how a market settles avoids surprise voids.

Main Markets

Terminology shifts by discipline: football counts goals, basketball counts points, tennis counts sets and games, esports counts maps and rounds. The market types below apply across all four.

  • Match Result: predict the winner of the event. Football and basketball offer three options, while tennis and esports usually offer two.
  • Handicap: we apply a virtual points advantage or disadvantage, then you predict who wins after it's applied. If the adjusted score ends level, we void the bet.
  • Over/Under: predict whether the combined total will land above or below a line we set. If the total lands exactly on the line, we settle the bet as void.
  • Double Chance: covers two of the three possible outcomes in one bet, a popular football market.
  • Correct Score: predict the exact final score. It carries higher odds than most other markets.
  • Both Teams to Score: a football-specific market where you predict whether both sides find the net at least once; an own goal counts for the opposing team.
  • Half-Time/Full-Time: predict both the first-half result and the full-time result together, a football combination market. Extra time is not included.
  • Asian Handicap: played with a quarter-value line (e.g. -0.25 or +0.75) that we split into two separate "half" bets, each carrying half of the total stake.
  • Winning Margin: predict the exact margin by which one side beats the other, measured in goals, points or games depending on the sport.

General Settlement Rules

The rules below apply across all four disciplines unless a sport-specific section below states otherwise.

  • If an event is postponed by more than 36 hours from its original start time, we void the affected bets.
  • If a match is interrupted for any reason and isn't completed within 12 hours of the original start time, we void bets on markets that hadn't already settled at the point of interruption.
  • If the "home" and "away" labels are shown the wrong way round, we void all bets — unless the match was played on neutral ground.
  • Match rules are set by the relevant governing federation unless the bet line states otherwise.
  • Where the general rules conflict with a sport-specific rule, the sport-specific rule applies.
  • Once an organiser declares an official result — including a walkover, default win or disqualification — we settle bets on that basis. If no official result is ever published, we void the affected bets.

Sport-Specific Rules

Below you'll find the rules and the settlement logic for the most popular markets in football, basketball, tennis and esports. We show sport names in bold and underlined, and individual market names in bold.

⚽ Football

General Rules

We settle football bets on regulation time, including referee stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs fall outside that window. If a match stops and isn't completed within 12 hours, we void bets that hadn't already settled. An unannounced format change that breaks a bet's terms also voids the affected bets. Incorrect home/away labels void all bets, unless the match was played on neutral ground.

Market Rules

We settle Match Result (1X2) and Half-Time Winner on the regulation-time result; extra-time goals don't count. For Full-Time Handicap and Winning Margin, a level score after the handicap voids the bet. For Over/Under, a total landing exactly on the line voids the bet; we treat 0-0 as even. Both Teams to Score settles on whether each side scores during regulation time; Correct Score settles on the exact final score, and a score not offered on the bet line settles as a loss. Card and corner markets settle on the referee's official record. Player-statistic markets require the player on the pitch for over one second; a player who doesn't feature voids bets placed on them. We settle To Qualify on the tie's official result, including extra time and penalties, and count an own goal as a normal goal for the scoring team in markets like First Team to Score.

🏀 Basketball

General Rules

Basketball bets include overtime whenever regulation time ends level, unless the bet line states otherwise. Match Result (3-Way) is the exception — we settle it on regulation time only. If a match isn't completed within 12 hours, we void bets that hadn't settled before the interruption. If a match is delayed by more than 36 hours, we void all bets. In two-legged elimination ties, a match can finish level without overtime; in that case we only apply overtime to the "To Qualify" market, not to the match-bet markets.

Market Rules

Winner (Including Overtime) settles on the official result, while Match Result (3-Way) and quarter/half winner markets look at regulation time only. Regulation Handicap and quarter/half handicap markets void if the score is level after the handicap. Over/Under voids if the total lands exactly on the line; Total Points Over/Under is offered both as a match total and per team, on the regulation-time result. Player statistic markets (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks) count individual performance only, and void if a player is on court under one second. Double-Double settles on whether a player reaches 10 or more in two categories. To Qualify and Tournament Winner settle on the federation's official result; an undeclared winner voids the affected bets.

🎾 Tennis

General Rules

We keep tennis bets live until the tournament concludes, and void the affected bets if it's cancelled or interrupted before finishing. If a player withdraws or is disqualified mid-match, sets completed decide the outcome: at least one full set keeps match-result bets and any already-settled markets standing, while unsettled markets like set or game handicaps are voided. Withdrawal before the first set finishes voids everything except already-settled results. Court-surface details are informational only, so bets stay valid if the surface changes. A single player swap in team events doesn't affect match-result bets, except in a doubles pairing, where swapping a nominated player voids the related bets.

Market Rules

Match Winner and Set Winner settle on the official match result. Set Handicap and game handicap markets void bets that hadn't settled if a player withdraws mid-match, and the same applies if the format changes (e.g. best-of-5 to best-of-3). Set/game Over/Under voids if the total lands exactly on the line. When a Championship Tie-Break replaces a full deciding set (a short game to ten points), we treat that set as settled 1-0 on games; an unannounced use voids the related bets. Aces and Double Faults settle on the tournament's official data. Tournament Winner voids if the event ends without an official winner. A tie-break kicks in at 6-6 in a set, usually played to seven points, and Tie-Break Winner settles on that short game's result.

🎮 Esports

General Rules

A team can be awarded one map "in absentia" by referee ruling before an event starts; that map doesn't count toward total-maps markets. Tournament rules set the match format (Bo1, Bo3, Bo5 etc.), shown on the bet line; if the format changes, we void the affected bets. If a team rebrands or changes ownership but keeps at least half its roster, bets remain valid. If four or more players are swapped before the match starts, we void the bets. If the match restarts after a server crash, network issue or DDoS attack, bets remain valid.

Market Rules

Match Result and Map Winner settle on the relevant match's official result, provided the rules haven't changed. In round-based titles like Counter-Strike and Valorant, a map is won once a team reaches the set round count (typically 13); a tied round count triggers overtime until a winner is decided. In titles like Dota 2 and League of Legends, the result is decided when the core structure falls or a team forfeits. Map Handicap and Over/Under settle on the official number of maps played, and void on a rule change if not already settled. Kill- and round-difference statistical markets settle on official match data. Player Duel settles on kill count and requires both players to have taken part; a no-show voids bets on that player. Tournament Winner voids if the event ends without an official winner. These rules apply to the major titles we cover, including CS2, Dota 2, League of Legends and Valorant, with minor title-specific differences noted on the bet line.
