1. What Data We Collect
When you open an account with us, you share your name, date of birth, phone number, email address and postal address. During registration you also choose a password, which we never store as plain text, it is always kept in encrypted form.
When you make a payment, your card or wallet details enter our system as well, used only to complete your transaction. We do not store your payment data directly ourselves, it is processed through our secure payment providers.
Once you start using your account, further data is generated, including the amounts you deposit and withdraw, your chosen payment method and the games you play. We also keep device information, your IP address and browser type on file, which helps us keep your account secure and helps us prevent fraud.
Some information comes directly from you, while other information is generated automatically as you use the account, such as your session length and login time. These records help our platform run smoothly and help our support team resolve account issues quickly.
2. Why We Use Your Data
We use your data first to set up your account, then to manage it. Verifying your identity and confirming your age are both part of this process. At 1King, we only provide our services to people who are 18 or older.
Your data is also needed to meet our anti-money-laundering obligations, generally known as AML and KYC rules, which follow from our Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) licence. We also use your data to process deposits and withdrawals and to respond to your support requests. Applicable rules also require us to keep certain records for a period of time.
With your consent, we may also send you news about promotions and bonus campaigns. You can stop these messages at any time through your account settings, or by contacting us directly.
We also process your data on a contractual basis, since opening an account creates a relationship that requires us to provide certain services to you. In some situations a legal obligation applies instead, for example when a regulator requests information from us. We also rely on legitimate interests, such as strengthening account security and reducing the risk of fraud on the platform.
3. How We Handle KYC Documents
To confirm your identity, we ask for certain documents. A colour copy of your passport is one accepted option. The first two pages and, where present, the residence stamp are enough. A colour copy of your national ID card is accepted as well. Where needed, we may also ask for a copy of your driving licence. We may also request a utility bill as proof of address.
We collect these documents through secure channels and use them only for identity checks and anti-money-laundering purposes, never for any other purpose. Verifying your phone number is also a required step for every account, without which your account will not be fully active.
If you prefer, you can complete verification through a video call with one of our representatives, in a language agreed with you in advance. If you choose this option, your image and voice are processed for that call only, solely to confirm your identity.
The verification process protects you as well, since it helps prevent your account from being used by someone else. If a document is incomplete, the process may take longer, so we recommend sending clear, readable copies. Withdrawal requests can only be processed once verification is complete.
4. Cookies
Our website uses cookies to make your visit easier. Cookies are small text files. They are saved on your device. Cookies fall into a few general categories.
Functional cookies are necessary for the website to work properly, and without them certain pages will not load. Analytics cookies show us how the site is being used, which helps us improve the platform over time. Marketing cookies are used to show you relevant content. You can change your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings.
You can disable cookies if you prefer, though this may affect how the site works, for example by not keeping your session open. We recommend keeping functional cookies enabled, while remaining free to manage the other categories as you wish.
5. Sharing Your Data
We only share your data when it is necessary. Payment providers are one example of this. These companies access your data to complete your transaction. Where the law requires it, data may also be shared with the relevant regulator. That body may be a gaming or financial authority.
We never sell your data to unrelated third parties. Every disclosure serves a specific purpose, whether that is running your account, maintaining platform security, or meeting a legal obligation.
We may also share data with identity verification providers that support our KYC process. Any such sharing is always limited to what is genuinely needed, and every partner we work with is required to protect your data under our agreements with them.
6. Your Rights
You hold several rights over your personal data. You can request access to the data we hold, ask us to correct information that is wrong, or ask us to complete information that is missing. You may also ask specifically what data we hold about you, and we will provide a clear overview.
In some circumstances, you can also request that your data be deleted, subject to certain rules. Exercising your rights is straightforward: simply write to us at [email protected], and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Some data cannot be deleted right away for legal reasons, such as a transaction record that must be kept for a set period under a legal or contractual requirement. Once that requirement ends, your data is deleted securely or separated from your identity.
7. Data Security
We take security measures to protect your data, including encryption and access controls, so that only authorised staff can reach it.
No system is completely secure. If you notice anything suspicious, please contact us. We review our security practices on a regular basis to catch risks early.
We take extra care with your password, which is always stored in encrypted form. None of our staff can see it as plain text. Only you should log in to your own account, and we recommend never sharing your password with anyone.
8. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as needed to manage your account and to meet our legal obligations, which may require retaining some transaction records for regulatory reasons. Once that need ends, your data is deleted securely. If you have a specific question about retention, our support team is happy to help.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, and we try to inform you of any significant change. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
